• Apply for an invite or create an account
• Write and refine stories
• Join or create Circles
• Contact us for support or feedback

This includes:

• Name, email, and bio
• Drafts, final stories, and Series
• Letters sent and received
• Any preferences or settings

B. Information We Collect Automatically

We collect limited technical data:

• Device, browser, operating system, IP address
• Usage data like time on page, clicks, and visit frequency

This helps us improve platform stability and usability.

C. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and third-party analytics (e.g., Plausible) to understand usage and performance. No targeted ads, no invasive tracking.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may stop working properly.

2. Use of Information

We use your data to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Services
• Support your writing and community participation
• Communicate with you about invites, updates, or feedback
• Provide AI support in Refine Mode, if activated
• Enforce our Terms of Use
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your data. We share only in the following cases:

• With vendors who help us operate infrastructure (e.g., hosting, analytics, support)
• With law enforcement, if legally required
• With your consent, such as when publishing content
• In the context of a business acquisition or merger

All vendors are under strict data protection obligations.

4. AI & Drafts

Your disappearing draft is stored temporarily and may be accessible to Humandraft team members for moderation, abuse prevention, or performance review.

We do not:

• Use your content to train third-party AI models
• Run background AI on your work without consent

Refine Mode AI is opt-in, transparent, and local to your session.

5. Data Storage & Retention

• We store your account data for as long as your account is active.
• Upon deletion, your content is purged within 30 days, excluding minimal logs retained for fraud prevention.
• You may request a full data export at any time.

6. Jurisdiction & International Transfers

We are based in the UK. If you are outside the UK (e.g., EU or US), your data may be processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws.

We use GDPR-compliant third-party processors and maintain standard contractual clauses where necessary.

7. Your Rights (UK / EU / GDPR)

If you’re in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you may:
